Lily Lockdown Musings Spring

Spring is coming….

…and I can’t wait! Shops are starting to bring out their bulbs and seedlings and I’ve picked up a couple: some tulips and some hyacinth bulbs.

Me and my mum have also bought some Giant Tree Lily bulbs, which I planted a couple of weeks ago and I’m looking forward to seeing how they develop. They’re already starting to sprout.

Giant Tree Lily Bulb starting to sprout

It feels strange that it will be a year since the start of lockdown (in the UK) in about a week’s time – it has flown by but also dragged at the same time! However, one of my saving graces during this time has been growing my plant family and having something non-screen based to while away the time! So I’m looking forward to the spring planting season.

I’ll keep you updated on the progress of my new balcony plants!
